Experience the majesty of tall ships up close with FREE tours of tall ships from around the world.
Reservations are strongly recommended due to high demand and your reservation will guarantee your spot.
Tour locations include Brooklyn Bridge Park, Sail City, South Street Seaport, and Stapleton Park (Homeport Pier Staten Island).
Tours taking place at Pier 86 will need to be reserved through Intrepid Museum.
Tickets
While tall ship tours are FREE of charge, reservations are strongly recommended due to high demand. Your reservation will guarantee your spot during your selected time frame.
Children must be five and older to board the ships and require a ticket. Strollers are permissible on the piers but are not allowed aboard the tall ships.

Located at Staten Island’s Stapleton Waterfront Park, the USS Sullivans Pier is just 1.5 miles from the St. George Ferry Terminal and is easily accessible by public transportation or car. If arriving by car, please note that street parking is very limited and parking in nearby garages is strongly recommended.

Weather
This is a rain-or-shine outdoor event.
Dress for the weather; it is typically hot and humid during this time of year.
Protect yourself from the sun. Sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses are key.
Children must be five and older to board the ships and require a reservation.
Food and Drink
Food and beverage are available for purchase from a selection of food trucks and ice cream carts at each location.

Event Policies
Attendees must abide by the below rules:
All visitors, backpacks, packages and vehicles are subject to search.
Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
In the event of an emergency, attendees must follow all directions from staff, security, and emergency personnel.
Compliance with Laws and Instructions
Visitors must comply with all applicable laws, U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) regulations, port and harbor rules, security directives, and the lawful instructions of the vessel’s master and crew at all times. The master has absolute discretion over navigation, operation, passenger management, safety, itinerary, and scheduling. Visitors may be refused admission, removed, or denied re‑entry for noncompliance or for disruptive, unsafe, or illegal conduct.
Boarding, Security, and Identification
Visitors must present valid government issued photo identification and any ticket or reservation confirmation upon request. A ship operator may deny boarding, remove, and/or refuse carriage to any person for safety or operational reasons, including intoxication, disorderly conduct, failure to comply with crew instructions, or violation of these Visitor Terms. Security screening and search of persons and belongings may occur; refusal may result in denied boarding.
Sail4th 250 has been informed by the U.S. government and the U.S. Secret Service that they may request the personal data of all visitors. By attending the Event and boarding a maritime vessel, visitors consent to the processing of personal data and sharing with the U.S. government and the U.S. Secret Service.
Prohibited Items
The following items are prohibited at the event:
Hard and soft coolers, suitcase luggage, and duffel bags
Outside alcohol
Marijuana, any illicit drugs, or controlled substances not lawfully possessed
Explosives, firearms, knives, pepper spray, and weapons of any kind
Airhorns
Drones, laser pointers, and high-powered lighting
Pets or other animals; service animals are permitted in accordance with New York State Law
Prohibited Activities
The following activities are prohibited at the event:
Climbing railings or accessing restricted areas is prohibited. Visitors must use handrails and non-skid areas, wear appropriate footwear, and exercise care on wet surfaces and moving decks.
Smoking of tobacco, e-cigarettes or other products that produce a vapor or smoke
Commercial activity or solicitation
Littering
Creating any disturbances, nuisances, or unsafe conditions
Trespassing and entering restricted areas
Consuming alcohol outside of designated areas
Health and Safety
Sail4th 250 works closely with law enforcement and public safety partners to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. All guests and bags will be subject to security screening upon entry. Plan to arrive early and review the Prohibited Items list in advance. Items not permitted will need to be discarded before entry.
If you need medical attention, please visit the First Aid Tent or notify a staff member immediately. Report any suspicious or unusual activity to event staff and safety personnel immediately.
In case of an emergency, contact the nearest public safety official immediately.
