Jefferson's Bourbon Tracing The Journey

As tall ships entered the harbor this Fourth of July, the moment reflected a long-standing American affinity for exploration and discovery. As the Official American Whiskey of Sail4th 250, Jefferson’s Bourbon draws on a similar spirit, incorporating the ocean itself as part of its aging process.

“We couldn't be more happy to be part of the tall Ships. This is all about exploration and adventure, and that's what we've been doing for the last 29 years at Jefferson's Ocean.” -Trey Zoeller, Founder

It's that love of exploration that set Zoeller and his father on a path to create something very special nearly 30 years ago. Trey comes from a family of Kentucky historians that date back to his eighth-generation grandmother, the first woman in the whiskey business.

Her innovative spirit lives on in Trey and his father. That innovation and curiosity led Trey to discover the ocean aging process in barrels that sail on ships around the globe, making nature its laboratory. The tall ships of the world have brought smiles, majestic moments and awe to many. Jefferson’s Bourbon joins this once-in-a-lifetime celebration by pouring the Official Cocktail of Sail4th 250: the High Seas Highball. Guests 21 and older can enjoy this limited-edition cocktail at Cobble Fish (located on Pier 16) from 7/6 - ⅞.
